Grades 1-2 / Reading Level G-M

Reading:

Comprehensive units covering:

  • Main Idea & Details
  • Cause & Effect
  • Character Analysis
  • Compare & Contrast

Writing:

Students will be guided through the writing process and practice informative/explanatory and narrative writing by completing their own descriptive essays and fairy tales.

Grammar:

Students will be provided their own workbook for daily level-appropriate grammar practice.

Math: 

Students will be provided their own textbook for daily level-appropriate Singapore Math exercises.

Grades 2-3 / Reading Level N-T

Reading:

Comprehensive units covering:

  • Main Idea & Details
  • Inferences & Conclusions
  • Character Analysis
  • Compare & Contrast

Writing:

Students will be guided through the writing process and practice informative/explanatory and narrative writing by completing their own own biographies and fairy tales.

Grammar:

Students will be provided their own workbook for daily level-appropriate grammar practice.

Math: 

Students will be provided their own textbook for daily level-appropriate Singapore Math exercises.

Grades 4-5/ Reading Level U-Z2

Reading:

Comprehensive units cover the following skills:

  • Main Idea & Details
  • Inferences & Conclusions
  • Character Analysis
  • Compare & Contrast

Writing:

Students will be guided through comprehensive units covering various genre included in the three major types of writing they practice in school: Informative/Explanatory, Narrative, and Persuasive.  They will practice these skills by completing their own informational reports and realistic fiction stories.

Grammar:

Students will be provided their own workbook for daily level-appropriate grammar practice.

Math: 

Students will be provided their own textbook for daily level-appropriate Singapore Math exercises.
